Christmas Lunch will still be at Ashwell House.' Club Members as Speakers. We welcome club members as our lunchtime speakers, not only because of their interesting experiences and knowledge, but also because we get to know each other better this way. Probus Ladies Luncheon Club The club was formed 25 years ago to allow the wives/partners and widows of the Probus Club of St. Albans and Probus Verulamium to meet socially. We are a very friendly and welcoming group of ladies who meet for lunch three times a year to enjoy a good meal and a variety of interesting speakers. Lunches will be held at the Quality Inn, London Road. Details of coffee mornings to follow A team of nine ladies organise the different aspects of the Club. LADIES LUNCHEON CLUB – 25th ANNIVERSARY. The Ladies Luncheon Club was formed in June 1986 by the wives of the Probus men, making this year our 25th Anniversary. We celebrated the occasion at our June lunch, with a beautiful cake, made and iced by the daughter of one of our members. We have also enjoyed an outing to Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire, where thirty-seven ladies enjoyed viewing the house and gardens, ending the visit with a special tea. We finish our celebratory year with a social evening for the Probus men and their wives at St. Stephens church hall on the 22nd October. Invitations will be sent out soon.
